Between local discoveries, relaxation and physical activities... There's no shortage of opportunities to spend a superb weekend in the Sancy massif. Jérémy takes us with him to this superb corner of the Auvergne !
If you like lush green landscapes, the climb to Puy de Sancy, the highest peak in the Massif Central, is well worth the detour. After taking the Puy de Sancy cable car up to 1790 metres, you can easily climb to the summit on foot for a breathtaking view of the volcanic landscape. You can then continue your walk to Lac Pavin, a wonderful volcanic lake.
In the same vein, the ascent of Pic du Capucin via the Funiculaire du Capucin offers you a memorable experience.

If you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary, Le Mont-Dore's Tyrolienne à virages offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
You can also discover the sensational zip-line descent at Super-Besse gliding at over 120 km/h over the mountains!
To help you recover from your emotions, the Thermes du Mont-Dore, whose thermal waters are renowned for their beneficial properties, will offer you a welcome moment of relaxation.
And to finish on a gourmet note, why not discover the flavors of the region with a cheese and craft beer tasting at an authentic cellar like Volcave, after visiting the medieval town of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise?
As far as accommodation is concerned, the Hôtel de Russie and the P’tit Cham offer you a warm and quiet place to rest after a busy day.
As for the restaurant, we recommend the Auberge des Mancelles for its authentic setting!
