A town of art and history, Briançon is known for its rich heritage and its fortifications, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But what makes it unique is that it is also a ski resort in the heart of the town (a rarity in Europe). If you're a skier, you can ski down the slopes from the resort, or take the gondola down to the center of the lower town!
