In the Greater Avignon area (the community of communes around Avignon we're talking about in this article), many producers stand out for their delicious local produce. After our selection of favorite restaurants, let's zoom in on our top must-see places to discover the region's flavors and know-how!

Les Angles

La Ferme du Bourgas: fresh fruit and vegetables

Nestled in a verdant setting, La Ferme du Bourgas offers a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables, most of them picked the same day (strawberries, cherries, apricots, melons, peaches, plums, pears, apples, tomatoes, zucchinis, eggplants, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, leeks...).

Why do we love it? For the variety and quality of the produce, perfect for a gourmet basket.

Entraigues-sur-la-Sorgue

Mas Ribelly: eggs and beer

At Mas Ribelly, we cultivate a respect for nature and animals. This picturesque farmhouse stands out for its organic products, including free-range eggs and beer.

Why do we love it? For its Agriculture Biologique label and its commitments.

Jonquerettes

Domaine du Bois de Saint Jean: local wine

Wine lovers take note: Domaine du Bois de St Jean offers a number of exceptional wine, each bottle telling its own story.

Why do we love it? For the guided tours of this family-run estate that take you behind the scenes of production, from vineyard to cellar.

Roquemaure

Château Boucarut: organic wine

Nestled in the heart of the vineyards, the splendid Château Boucarut estate offers exceptional organic wines.

Why do we love it? For the tastings on offer and the enchanting setting.

La Chèvrerie d'Émilie: goat's cheese

If you're passing through Roquemaure, La Chèvrerie d'Emilie and its 130 Alpine goats will welcome you in a warm, family atmosphere. You'll find fresh cheeses, tommes, faisselle and goat's milk cosmetics.

Why do we love it? For the quality of its products (the goat farm won the 2024 “Militant du Goût” competition for its goat tomme and creamy goat cheese).

Saint-Saturnin

La Miellerie des Butineuses: honey and by-products

At La Miellerie des Butineuses, you'll find honeys in a variety of flavors, reflecting the flowers and seasons, as well as pollen, royal jelly, wax and propolis.

Why do we love it? For the quality of the products and the free tours on offer.

Sauveterre

Le Clos Méjean: seasonal fruit and vegetables

At Clos Méjean, Hervé and his sister Florence (the fifth generation to run the farm) welcome you all year round to their varied range of seasonal fruit and vegetables (green asparagus, eggplants, zucchinis, radishes, lettuce all year round, Jerusalem artichokes, apricots, kiwis, melons, peaches, grapes...).

Why do we love it? For the variety and quality of seasonal produce.

Velleron

La Bergerie Velleronnaise: goat's and sheep's milk products

At La Bergerie Velleronnaise, Andréa and her sister Clara offer you artisanal dairy products made from goat's and sheep's milk.

Why do we love it? For their commitment to animal welfare (year-round grazing in the fields around the sheepfold, no separation of mothers and offspring before weaning, etc.). The little extra: the farm is located on the Via Venaissia, which makes for responsible tourism thanks to the reserved parking spaces for bicycles.

La Ferme en'Vie: organic fruit and vegetables

Also in Velleron, La Ferme en'Vie offers organic fruit and vegetables grown with love.

Why do we love it? For its commitments (agroecological farm).

Velleron Market

In the heart of the Vaucluse region, the Velleron farmers' market is a must for lovers of local produce. One of France's “hundred exceptional markets”, it attracts 160,000 visitors a year.

Why do we love it? Only local farmers can sell their produce.
