What is HURRAIL! ?
HURRAIL! is the leading media platform for low-carbon travel, now reaching over 6 million monthly views and 500,000 followers across social media. Through our platform, our book, and the content we publish across various channels, we aim to make flight-free travel easier while promoting new travel narratives that align with planetary boundaries.
To accelerate the growth of our YouTube channel and our Instagram and TikTok accounts, we’re looking for the new face of our media! Someone engaged and creative, passionate about travel and video, capable of shooting, hosting, and editing independently. Your mission? Test new train routes, explore new destinations, and experience unforgettable adventures to share them through video on our social media platforms.
What kind of content will you create?
As a video journalist, your role will be to share your experiences across social media through various formats:
- YouTube reports/vlogs (example 1; example 2)
- Studio-recorded tutorials/feedback videos for YouTube (example 1)
- Short videos for IG, TikTok, and YT Shorts (example 1; example 2; example 3)
- 16:9 photos for the blog and itineraries on hourrail.voyage
- 9:16 photos for social media
What skills are we looking for?
You’re the ideal candidate if:
- You have a solid grasp of Adobe Premiere Pro or Da Vinci Resolve.
- You’re skilled in video shooting and photography.
- You have a creative mindset and a keen eye for detail.
- You understand web culture (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok…).
- You’re passionate about visual storytelling (photo/video) and travel.
- You have strong writing skills and can craft original, engaging scripts.
- You’re autonomous and eager to develop a wide range of skills.
Big plus (but not mandatory):
- You know how to use other Adobe software like After Effects, Photoshop, or Lightroom.
What are the conditions?
- Contract type: 6-month internship or apprenticeship (freelance possible if it's a perfect match).
- Start date: As soon as possible, but we’re not rushing—if needed, we can wait until September or October to find the right person.
- Location: Between shoots, you’ll work with the team at our office in Pépinière 27, Paris 75011 (occasional remote work outside of filming).
- Compensation: Legal internship salary + reimbursements and in-kind benefits.
